Dr. Boleslaw Szymanski Keynote speaker at Digital Ecosystems Conference at DELab, University of Warsaw, Poland

Dr. Boleslaw Szymanski was a keynote speaker at the Digital Ecosystems Conference at the University of Warsaw, Poland on June 29, 2015. This multidisciplinary conference had three diverse Keynotes. A political scientist, prof. Luciano Floridi from Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford talked about the new morphology of power, focusing on social control and power in the world of digitalization. A computer scientist, prof. Boleslaw K. Szymanski from Social Cognitive Networks Center, RPI, Troy, NY, USA talked about dynamics of spread of opinions in social networks using two models for social contagion. Finally, a philosopher, prof. Jacques Dubucs from ESFRI, CNRS talked about social physics and its application focusing on current understanding of physics and its application to social studies. The conference was marking the opening the Digital Laboratory at the University of Warsaw, and focused on 'digital ecosystem' as the starting point of analysis for new
interdisciplinary approaches, both theoretical and applied to designing contemporary environments for work, economy, science, culture, politics, to economic, social and institutional relations, to digital
