Alaa Moussawi presented a poster "Evolution and Control in the Global Risk Network," by Xiang Niu, Alaa Moussawi, Gyorgy Korniss, Jianxi Gao, and Boleslaw K. Szymanski at the 11th Strategic Multi-Layer Assessment (SMA) Conference in Joint Base Andrews in Clinton, MD. The conference held on April 3-4, 2018, focused on a question "A Utopian or Dystopian Future, or Meddling Through?" The poster presents the dynamics of World Economic Forum Global Risk Network from years 2000-2017. The risk stable states for each year from 2013 to 2017 are shown, those states would have been reached if no actions would have been taken by the global economy actors to moderate them. The poster also show how the model of control of the global network was created and provided plots of energy needed to bring the global risk network to desired state of all risk inactive as a function of the number of drivers (nodes through which control signal is injected into the network).
